Mariame is currently a final year medical student at Harvard Medical School. She completed her Undergraduate studies at Amherst College where she majored in Neuroscience. She then conducted research studying malaria at the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases for two years before starting medical school.
Mariame is passionate about serving disadvantaged communities in her country of birth, Guinea. She is also interested in global health and has devoted many years in studying malaria and cholera.
Mariame plans to do her residency in internal medicine upon completion of medical school. She also hopes to conduct infectious disease research in the global south.
