Meghavi Mashar

BM BChir MA (Cantab)

Director of Tutor Engagement

Meghavi is a speciality trainee in Clinical Radiology, working at University College London Hospitals. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Cambridge, learning much about their small group tutorial systems. As a keen radiologist, Meghavi has also undertaken research into artificial intelligence methods and their clinical utility in radiology practice.

Passionate about teaching since her days in secondary education, she has furthered that passion throughout her medical school life. Meghavi has supervised for three Cambridge colleges, set up a near-peer teaching scheme at the University of Cambridge and has run a national course aimed at increasing medical student access to highly coveted academic clinician posts. Moreover, she has achieved the Oxford Developing Learning and Teaching qualification and is a member of the academy of medical educators. Joining GMEC is her way of providing high quality education in a sorely neglected area of medical education to countries where it may be needed most.

In her spare time, Meghavi loves playing badminton, singing and spending quality time with friends and family (including her GMEC family!)
